FAQ's
Q.
What port in the receiver do I plug my 1010 into?
A. Plug the SP-1010 into the throttle
channel; this is typically CH#3 on most radio systems.
Q.
What is B.E.C.?
A. B.E.C. stands for Battery Eliminator
Circuitry. This means that the speed control supplies power to the radio
from the main power battery, so there is no need for a separate battery
pack for the receiver.
Q.
What is auto cut off?
A. Auto cut off will cut power to
the motor when the battery reaches a certain voltage level in order to
leave enough power for the reciver while landing.
Q.
What is the motor limit on the 1010?
A. The SP-1010 can handle 10 amps
maximum. So any motor that pulls less than 10 amps under load. This is
typically a Speed 400 6V. class or smaller motor.
Q.
How many cells can it handle?
A. 6 - 8 cells. But be aware the more
cells you use the more current the motor will draw. It must still stay
below 10 amps. If you go with more cells you may need to use a smaller
propeller.
Q.
What is the little push button for?
A. The push button momentary switch
is for safety, the motor will not respond to the transmitter input until
this switch is pushed. Always make sure the throttle is in low position
before you push it. |
